Short films inspirations.

This is out of the Ghoulies 2, I like how the camera is showing the mirror and depending on the reflection to make the film more edgy. They use close ups of the mans face to show his emotions, it also helps to set the scene because you need to know how the man is feeling in order to understand that he’s scared.the camera also shows that he’s shaking by wiggling the camera a little bit. The use of music is intense and makes the viewer feel scared.

This scene from White Chicks is good because it shows shot under the cubicle and from the mirrors point of view. I like the shots of the toilet cubicle so you feel like you’re stood in the toilet with her. Also the shots of her feet under the cubicle is showing the most emotion by the way they move. I also like how the camera moves when she’s pooping. it adds intensity to the scale of the poop. However the sound effects sound childish which makes it less believable.

Good research here, Kayla—well done. Particularly pleased to see you recognise the elements that don’t work—that’s as important as knowing which things do. To bring this up a notch, try to connect your research to your own planning—that’s a really strong way to show how your ideas are developing.
